Do you remember this movie? It was actually pretty good, if you haven't seen it, take the time for a movie night and watch it. It was released on September 9th 2011 and directed by Steven Soderbergh, which I might add did a very well job on this movie. Not only for it's suspense and thrilling situations but also for it's realistic view on something that could happen in real life. And things like this have happened in the past with viruses. The Black Death which occurred in 1347 killing 200 million people. The Spanish Flu which came out in 1918 soon after the WWI infecting 500 million people world wide and killing 3-5 percent of the world population of that time. Then a new type of virus came out in 2002 called the Coronavirus, it started out with SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) which began in China and it spread worldwide within a few months. It was transmitted through droplets that enter the air when someone with the disease coughs, sneezes or even talks. Then MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) came out in Saudi Arabia in 2012. Now there's a new outbreak that came out late December of 2019, I'm sure you've heard about it in the news, they're simply calling it the Coronavirus, however that's the type of virus it is but in a different form. Scientists have yet to fully discover how destructive this new virus is. As of right now they're calling it "nCoV", however I have read in other reports that since it originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan, they're calling it the "Wuhan Virus". As of today January 22nd 2020 there are over 440 people that are infected with the virus in China, 2 confirmed cases in Thailand, 1 Confirmed case in Japan, South Korea and even in the U.S. more specifically in Washington State where a man in his 30's has been confirmed to have the disease. The W.H.O (World Health Organization) is holding a Emergency Committee today to see if they can declare this disease as a public health emergency of international concern. If it goes through, it will enable The W.H.O. with greater power for disease control using the International Health Regulations.

As of right now, we have to wait for further information and for scientists along with the CDC (Center of Disease Control) to come up with a vaccine. However The W.H.O. did provide instructions on what to do to prevent from getting infected in case there are more unknown cases here in the U.S.

So be sure to wash your hands thoroughly and cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing and refrain contact with other people who show flu like symptoms. Stay Clean out there!

Something happened with Microsoft. They disclosed today that their Operating System was exposed to a security breach last month in December 2019! In a Blog Post in Microsoft's website shared information that an internal customer support database that stored user analytics was "accidentally" exposed online without any protections between December 5th and December 31 2019. The breach was found and reported by Bob Diachenko, a security researcher with Security Discovery. Diachenko said "the leaky customer support database consisted of a cluster of five elasticsearch servers, technology used to simplify search operations". The servers that were breached only contained email addresses and IP addressed and support case details, Microsoft said that most of the records didn't contain any personal user information." However Microsoft did say that they are informing those who were impacted by the breach, those who had a non-standard format name such as ("name surname @ emaildomain.com"). For these cases Microsoft said that they already began notifying them that were impacted. Although they found no malicious use of the data. So if you haven't received any notification directly from Microsoft by now, you should be fine, however these things can happen and it's always good to know about it when they do.

A blast from the past! This phone is like an upgraded version of the O.G. Motorola Razr back in 2004. And that's because it is. Welcome to the all new 2020 Motorola Razr. This phone was initially supposed to be released to the general public in December, but now it delayed it for the end of this month January 26 2020 for pre orders and with an in store date of February 6 for a whopping $1,500.00. Whew! The Motorola Razr has the clam-shell design and flips up open just like the original version, only this time it has a full on OLED folding screen. They really did something special here since you can't really see any middle screen crease of where the screen folds from when you fully open it. They really designed it carefully making sure that it looks and feels good on the hands too. The specs of this phone are the following: you get a Snapdragon 710 chip (mid-range by today's standards), you can get 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and it ships with Android 9, it also has a beefy 2510mAh of power split between two batteries in the top and bottom halves of the phone. It is a Verizon Wireless exclusive phone, so you'll need to take that into consideration if you are dying to get this phone in your hands.

Sony's most anticipated product PlayStation 5 is in the news today, and tomorrow and all the way until October 2020. That's what the buzz is going around of the official release date of the gaming console. Obviously this has not been confirmed yet however it does go inline with the new game Sony tends to roll-out in Holiday 2020 "GodFall". Meaning if the console comes out a few months prior to the release of the new game(s) it just makes sense. Sony will be providing full details and official dates in the coming few weeks per David Jaffe (video game designer for the God of War franchise). We'll have to wait and see if those words come true or not. But just be aware that Sony will be in the news for most of the year. Also Sony's new slogan for the brand will be
"It's time to play".
