Star Wars Secrets Within Episode II
Session II – Into the Vaults
The journey into the unknown took a disastrous turn as reality itself began to fracture.
While investigating the ancient mysteries surrounding Darth Velarous, Travern Morrow and D-Rek7 were suddenly engulfed by a violent surge unlike anything the party had ever witnessed. Time and space seemed to collapse around them before, in a single blinding instant, both companions vanished without a trace.
Hurled into the distant past by an unexplained phenomenon, their fate remained a complete mystery to the rest of the group. Though none present could understand what they had witnessed, the event would forever alter the course of history.
Elsewhere, Savage Oppress journeyed to the forgotten world of Zankor, where he sought the wisdom of the reclusive Master Yoku. Their meeting proved invaluable, for Savage departed with a rare Green Resonance Crystal—an artifact whose true importance would not become clear until much later.
Not all discoveries, however, brought hope.
Deep within Velarous's sphere of influence, Shing-Guy-Jon became infected by the horrifying Zegu Spores. The corruption spread with terrifying speed, consuming both body and mind until his form twisted into one of Darth Velarous's grotesque experiments. Before the party could stop the transformation, the monstrous eight-legged creature that had emerged from their fallen companion fled into the endless labyrinth of the Velarous Vaults, disappearing into the darkness.
As the heroes attempted to escape, catastrophe struck.
Lurking within the caverns was the Wailing Maw, a colossal arachnid whose translucent flesh revealed the faint glow of organs beneath its skin. Rather than venom, the creature wielded a terrifying psychic sting, unleashing waves of telepathic force capable of paralyzing its victims in place as though time itself had stopped.
Against overwhelming odds, the party miraculously defeated the beast, forcing it to retreat into the depths. Victory, however, came at a terrible price.
Their vessel was utterly destroyed.
Stranded with no means of escape, the group had no choice but to seek refuge within the towering mountain that concealed the ancient vaults.
Waiting at its entrance stood another figure.
Known only as The Desert Reaper, he was accompanied by an imposing company of Dune Troopers. Rather than attack, the mysterious commander silently stepped aside, allowing the group to pass into the mountain's shadow.
Yet as the group moved forward, Dasu Mwindaji couldn't help but feel eyes watching them, he glanced back.
The Desert Reaper was watching him.
A faint smile stretched across the commander's face—a menacing smile that alluded to the fact that they were entering an evil place, a place of doom, inside the Mountain, known as the Velarous Vaults.
Despite mounting danger, the party pressed onward through forgotten corridors, uncovering hidden relics, abandoned laboratories, and long-buried secrets left behind by Darth Velarous. Every chamber whispered of forbidden experiments and knowledge that perhaps should never have been uncovered.
Within one forgotten room, Xod-EE-Lek discovered evidence that another Chiss had once walked these halls before him, a large painting of a Chiss dressed in a white uniform with a red sash across his chest, and medals on his left torso.
The name etched on a plaque below the painting: Grand Admiral Kraynos.
Among the large desk rested a handwritten message addressed to him personally, he read it to himself.
"How did he know I would come?" Xod wondered, a chill running through him as countless questions flooded his mind.
Their exploration ultimately led to one final revelation.
Hidden behind an ancient secret door in the last chamber down the corridor stood a solitary prison cell.
Inside sat the real Shing-Guy-Jon—alive, imprisoned, and seemingly untouched by the horrors that had stalked the vaults.
Silence fell over the party as the truth slowly settled upon them.
If the real Shing-Guy-Jon had been imprisoned all along...
Who—or what—had been traveling beside them since the very beginning?
